TCEQ Sunset Implementation

On May 28, 2011, the Texas Legislature adopted the TCEQ Sunset legislation, HB 2694. The legislation continues the agency for 12 years. Governor Perry signed the bill into law on June 17, 2011.

Implementation of the TCEQ Sunset legislation, HB 2694, and Sunset Commission management directives will require adoption of rules, as well as operational changes, revisions to guidance documents, and changes to the agency’s Web pages.
