The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will conduct a public hearing to receive testimony regarding proposed revisions to the State Implementation Plan for air quality. The proposed SIP revision would satisfy the Regional Haze Rule requirements to submit a progress report for the mandatory Class I federal areas in Texas in the form of SIP revisions every five years. The report must evaluate improvement towards the reasonable progress goal for each Class I area located within the state and outside the state that may be affected by emissions from Texas. The hearing will be held in Austin on September 24, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in Building E, Room 201, at the central office located at 12100 Park 35 Circle. The hearing is structured for the receipt of oral or written comments by interested persons. Open discussion will not be permitted during the hearing; however, staff will be available to discuss the proposal 30 minutes prior to the hearing.
