On April 19, 2000, the TCEQ adopted a revision to the Texas State Implementation Plan (SIP). These revisions served as the required next step in the attainment demonstration planning process for the Beaumont–Port Arthur (BPA), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), and Houston-Galveston-Brazoria (HGB) ozone nonattainment areas. This page provides information on this revision to the SIP for the HGB area.

Proposal Date: 12/16/1999

EPA Approval Date: November 14, 2001 ( 66 FR 57160 ). For more information, see the December 2000 HGB Attainment Demonstration.

Key Changes: This revision to the SIP includes the enforceable commitments required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency–Natural Resources Defense Council settlement to make the Houston-Galveston-Brazoria attainment demonstration complete.
