Are applications being accepted under this program?
No. The latest AFFP grant round ended on July 31, 2012. Applications are currently being reviewed and selections will be announced soon.
What projects are eligible for a AFFP grant?
For the current Request for Grant Applications (RFGA), the TCEQ is soliciting applications for projects for construction or substantial reconstruction of facilities to dispense alternative fuels to vehicles and equipment. Eligible alternative fuels are:
- biodiesel
- hydrogen
- methanol
- natural gas
- propane
- electricity
Applicants should review the RFGA (PDF) for detailed requirements for each project type and information about eligibility.
Considerations
- Either the stations must be new or the substantial reconstruction must be intended to provide a new service at an existing station.
- Facilities must be located within the nonattainment areas of Texas (Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston-Galveston-Brazoria, and El Paso County) to be eligible.
How do I apply for a grant?
Applicants for funding should first review the RFGA before downloading and completing the application forms.
Steps to follow:
