Are applications being accepted under this program?
No. The latest NTIG application period ended on November 29, 2010. Applications may no longer be submitted for funding consideration.
What projects are eligible for an NTIG?
For the current request for grant applications (RFGA), the TCEQ is soliciting applications for projects for:
- Advanced Clean Energy projects
- New Technology projects that involve capital expenditures that exceed $500 million and reduce emissions of regulated pollutants from point sources.
Applicants should review the NTIG Guidelines and RFGA (PDF files) for detailed requirements for each project type and information about applicant eligibility.
Considerations
- Applications for either grant category must demonstrate a substantial implementation plan that maximizes the likelihood that the technology will be implemented in Texas as soon as practicable and demonstrates the applicant's ability to operate and maintain the grant-funded technology for the duration of the contract and the five-year reporting period.
- Applications for the Advanced Clean Energy Projects category must meet the required pollutant emissions reductions in Section 3 of House Bill 1796.
- Applications for the New Technology Projects category must involve capital expenditures that exceed $500 million and reduce emissions of regulated pollutants from point sources.
How do I apply for a grant?
Applicants for funding should first review the NTIG Guidelines and the RFGA before downloading and completing the application forms.
Once you have determined the type of project that you wish to propose, download and use the forms applicable for that project type. Follow these steps:
- Download copies of the Guidelines and the RFGA, or call the TCEQ directly (512/239-4950) to obtain copies of these documents.
- Review the Guidelines and RFGA to determine if your project is eligible for funding. If needed, contact the TCEQ’s NTIG staff to discuss your proposed project.
