Are responses to the information request being accepted?
Yes. The TCEQ will accept responses over the year, as vehicles, engines, or conversion systems are certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. However, submissions for the initial eligibility list will need to be received by March 30, 2012, 5 p.m. Central Daylight Time, to ensure that those vehicles, engines, and conversion systems can be included on the list before the opening of the first TNGVGP grant round, currently anticipated for June 2012.
Who should respond to the request?
A respondent must be listed as the manufacturer on the EPA Certificate of Conformity with federal emissions standards. A business or organization not listed as the manufacturer on the EPA certificate, such as a heavy-duty vehicle manufacturer that is not also the manufacturer of the certified natural gas engine installed on the vehicle, should not complete the forms.
How do I respond?
Review the Information Request Instructions before downloading and completing the Information Request Form.
Follow these steps:
- Download copies of the Information Request Instructions, or call the TCEQ directly (512-239-4950) to obtain copies of these documents.
- Review the instructions to determine if your organization should complete the Information Request Form. If needed, contact the TCEQ’s TNGVGP staff to discuss.
- Download or obtain copies of the Information Request Form.
- Follow the directions for completing and submitting the Information Request Form.
All Information Request Forms should be typed. All respondents must complete and sign Form 1, and fill out as many copies as necessary of Forms 2, 3, or 4 for all of the eligible models manufactured by the OEM. You may submit forms for the various models in one mail package as opposed to a separate package for each model, but be sure that you bind together the relevant forms for each model. You may also fax or scan and e-mail the forms to the TCEQ.
