Term: Major source
Definition: Stationary source that has the potential to emit, on a contaminant by contaminant basis, at or above one of the significant emission rates of any air contaminant for which a national ambient air quality standard has been issued.
Card 2:
Term: Major modification
Definition: Any physical change in, or change in the method of operation of, a major source that causes a significant project emissions increase and a significant net emissions increase for any federally regulated NSR pollutant.
