Language for Public Notification of Drinking Water Contaminants

Mandatory language for notifying public water system customers that a violation of a microbial or primary chemical standard has occurred. These files are downloadable templates in editable Adobe Acrobat (PDF) and Word formats.

The microbiological and chemical monitoring programs, which are part of the Public Drinking Water Section, have developed public notification language for systems that violate the microbial or primary chemical standards. The language provided is mandatory. Templates are available to download in the following formats: editable Adobe Acrobat (PDF) and Word. The public notice language is broken down by contaminant in the table below.
