At this informal public forum and open house, stakeholders can learn about water quality in general and the Austin streams implementation plan in particular. Committee members, along with state and city employees, will be on hand to discuss questions and concerns.

At this meeting, stakeholders will review and discuss the progress of plan implementation and consider adding more watersheds to the plan area.

Stakeholder Meeting about a Plan to Protect Recreational Safety in Petronila Creek
Johnny Calderon County Building, 710 Main Street, Robstown 78380
Stakeholders in the watershed are revising a plan to implement total maximum daily loads (TMDLs) and reduce bacteria levels in the river. At this meeting, stakeholders will review additional data analyses and a report on the results of a groundwater study by the Railroad Commission. Weather permitting (not too hot or too wet), there is an optional field trip after the meeting to view Petronila Creek at Willoughby Farms. If you plan to go on this field trip, be sure to dress appropriately; jeans and boots are highly recommended. There will be a demonstration of techniques for sampling instream water quality.
