Stakeholder Meeting about a Plan to Protect Recreational Safety in the East and West Forks of the San Jacinto River

At this meeting, TCEQ project staff will update people about the work done so far in developing the TMDL. The TCEQ and stakeholders will also discuss electing a stakeholder coordinating committee, with voluntary membership, to steer development of the TMDL I-Plan. Two other meetings will be held at other locations on March 5 (Humble) and 6 (Conroe).

At this public meeting of the Coordination Committee, members will discuss status of the project and next steps. Time is set aside near the end of the meeting for questions and comments from the public. Anyone interested in the project is encouraged to attend.

At this public meeting, stakeholders in the Oso Creek watershed will hear about and discuss the water quality issues that exist in Oso Creek. The Coastal Bend Bays Foundation is hosting this meeting to kick off the project to improve the creek.

Lake O' the Pines: Stakeholder Meeting about a Plan to Protect Aquatic Life

At this public meeting, stakeholders will overview and discuss their proposed updates to to the original Implementation Plan established in 2008. The I-Plan is designed to improve dissolved oxygen levels in the lake through pollution reductions in the watershed.

Stakeholder Meeting about a Plan to Protect Recreational Safety in the East and West Forks of the San Jacinto River

At this important meeting, the stakeholders will review and finalize the ground rules for their project steering committee, finalize the types of workgroups needed, discuss including Lake Conroe in their project, and consider the pros and cons of joining the Houston-Galveston Area Bacteria Implementation Group (BIG). Everyone interested in these segments of the San Jacinto River is encouraged to attend.
