Lake O' the Pines: Stakeholder Meeting About Progress in Implementing TMDLs

Stakeholders are invited to join scientists from the TCEQ and Texas Water Resources Institute to review progress made toward keeping the lake clean and safe for fish and other aquatic species. This meeting will also begin a process to review the I-Plan developed in 2008 and determine whether it should be updated.

Stakeholders will meet to continue forming the coordinating committee that will lead development of a plan to reduce bacteria in four streams in the Austin metropolitan area. The watersheds include portions of Walnut Creek, Waller Creek, the Spicewood Tributary to Shoal Creek, and Taylor Slough South.

At this meeting, we will begin building the coordination committee for the Armand Bayou I-Plan and its operational rules and structure. Presentations will cover information about water quality in Armand Bayou and how local stakeholders can participate in the processes for developing the TMDL and Implementation Plan.

Stakeholder Meeting about a Plan to Improve Austin-Area Watersheds

The goal of this plan is to reduce bacteria and protect people's safe use of Waller, Walnut, and Shoal creeks and Taylor Slough in the city of Austin. If you use these streams, or live or work in their watersheds, please consider participating. At this meeting, the Coordination Committee will begin forming work groups for specific tasks.

Stakeholder Meeting about Plans to Improve Water Quality in Armand Bayou

The goal of this plan is reduce bacteria levels and protect the safety of recreation in the waters of Armand Bayou. We encourage anyone who lives or works in the area to participate in the process of improving water quality in the bayou. The goal for this meeting is to form the Coordination Committee that will develop the I-Plan.
