Investigation protocols
These documents were developed to assist TCEQ Staff in preparing for and conducting investigations related to specific rules, regulations, and permits. They are only intended as a guide to prompt investigators to consider the requirements in a consistent manner. They are not, nor intended as, a substitute for permit terms or rules applicable to regulated entities. The documents do not contain all of the applicable regulatory requirements, as permit terms and rules often impose additional regulatory requirements.

Investigation Checklists
The checklists were developed to assist TCEQ staff in preparing for and conducting investigations related to specific rules, regulations, and permits. They are only intended as a guide to prompt investigators to consider the requirements in a consistent manner. Additional requirement can be reviewed and may lead to violations not mentioned on the checklist.
