Eligibility for Online Renewal of TCEQ Company Registration (Occupational Licensing)

Most companies are eligible for online renewal of their registrations under TCEQ occupational licensing. This page gives reasons for ineligibility and links to a page containing detailed eligibility requirements for the specific program.

Leaking Petroleum Tank Corrective Action Specialist

You are NOT eligible to renew your company registration through Texas Online if:

• your registration has been expired over 30 days
• your registration does not expire for 90 days or more
• your federal Tax Identification Number has changed since your last registration;
• your business name has changed since your last registration;
• your business type (sole proprietor, partnership, corporation, etc.) has changed since your last registration;
• your business has not maintained the financial requirement of $25,000 in net worth since your last registration; or
• your business has not maintained the required general liability insurance of $1 million.

Underground Storage Tank Contractor

You are NOT eligible to renew your company registration through Texas Online if:

• your registration has been expired over 30 days
• your registration does not expire for 90 days or more
• your federal Tax Identification Number has changed since your last registration;
• your business name has changed since your last registration;
• your business type (sole proprietor, partnership, corporation, etc.) has changed since your last registration;
• your business has not maintained the financial requirement of $25,000 in net worth since your last registration; or

Wastewater Operations Company

You are NOT eligible to renew your company registration through Texas Online if:

• your registration has been expired over 30 days
• your registration does not expire for 90 days or more
• your company has been bought or sold and now has a new name—you must apply for a new registration; or
• you are not the chief executive officer or authorized representative. The chief executive officer or authorized representative of your company must submit the renewal application.

Water Operations Company

You are NOT eligible to renew your company registration through Texas Online if:

• your registration has been expired over 30 days;
• your registration does not expire for 90 days or more;
• your company has been bought or sold and now has a new name—you must apply for a new registration; or
• you are not the chief executive officer or authorized representative. The chief executive officer or authorized representative of your company must submit the renewal application.
