TCEQ approves fines totaling $280,036

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $205,167 against 28 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: four air quality, one multi-media, two municipal waste discharge, two petroleum storage tank, and 13 public water system.

Default orders were issued for the following categories: one municipal solid waste; three petroleum storage tank, of which two were default and shut-down orders; and two public water system.

In addition, on July 1, 2014, the executive director approved 38 agreed orders, each $7,500 or less, totaling $74,869.
