TCEQ approves fines totaling $306,763

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $288,097 against 14 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

 Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: two air quality, one industrial hazardous waste, two multi-media, three municipal waste discharge, three petroleum storage tank, and two public water system.

 One order was issued in one petroleum storage tank case following hearings at the State Office of Administrative Hearings.

 In addition, on Aug. 26, the executive director approved 20 agreed orders, each $7,500 or less, totaling $18,666.
