TCEQ approves fines totaling $302,602

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $302,602, against 63 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: ten air quality, ten municipal waste discharge, 18 petroleum storage tank, five public water system, three utilities, and one water quality.
Penalties were also assessed in one multi-media case and one public water system case following hearings at the State Office of Administrative Hearings.
In addition, default orders were issued for the following categories: four multimedia, two municipal solid waste, one municipal waste discharge, five petroleum storage tank, one public water system, and one water quality.
