TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $357,317

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $300,942 against 21 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: five air quality, one municipal solid waste, two municipal waste discharge, three petroleum storage tank, and one public water system.

Default orders were issued for one air quality, two petroleum storage tank, and two public water system.

There were three petroleum storage tank default and shutdown orders.

Penalties were also assessed in one petroleum storage tank case following a hearing at the State Office of Administrative Hearings.

In addition, on October 24, the executive director approved 22 agreed orders, each $7,500 or less, totaling $56,375.
