The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $329,280 against 29 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: two air quality, two municipal solid waste, ten municipal waste discharge, eight petroleum storage tank, and one public water system.
Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one Edwards Aquifer, one municipal solid waste, and one petroleum storage tank.
There were three petroleum storage tank enforcement default and shutdown order.
In addition, on February 14, the executive director approved 75 agreed orders, each $7,500 or less, totaling $195,364.
