TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $491,504

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $340,300 against 36 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.   Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: 10 air quality, one industrial and hazardous waste, one industrial waste discharge, one multimedia, one municipal solid waste, four municipal waste discharge, four petroleum storage tank, and five public water system.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one Edwards Aquifer, one irrigation licensing, one municipal solid waste, two petroleum storage tank, and two public water system.

There were two petroleum storage tank default and shutdown orders.

In addition, on April 16, the executive director approved 61 agreed orders, each $7,500 or less, totaling $151,204.
