The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $322,950 against 27 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: seven air quality, one municipal solid waste, one municipal waste discharge, four petroleum storage tank, three public water system, and one water quality.
Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one multimedia, three municipal solid waste, two petroleum storage tank, and two public water system.
In addition, there was one petroleum storage tank enforcement default and shutdown order.
On May 31, the Executive Director approved 60 agreed orders, each $7,500 or less, totaling $175,273.
