TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $361,963

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $303,308 against 28 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: four air quality, one industrial waste discharge, one multimedia, one municipal solid waste, three municipal waste discharge, six petroleum storage tank, and nine public water system.
Default orders were issued in the following categories: two public water systems and one utility.

In addition, on May 30, the executive director approved 27 agreed orders, each $7,500 or less, totaling $58,655.
