TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $655,055

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $520,841 against 25 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.   Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one industrial waste discharge, five municipal waste discharge, six petroleum storage tank, and two public water system.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: two municipal solid waste, one municipal waste, four petroleum storage tank, one public water system, and one sludge.

There were two petroleum storage tank default and shutdown orders.

Included in the total are fines of $113,305 against MANKI, LLC, in Polk County for various water quality violations.

In addition, on June 10, the executive director approved 54 agreed orders, each $7,500 or less, totaling $134,214.
