TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $710,703

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $710,703 against 83 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: 16 air quality, one Edwards Aquifer, two industrial or hazardous waste, two industrial waste discharge, one irrigation licensing, five multimedia, 11 municipal waste discharge, 27 petroleum storage tank, six public water system, one sludge, one utilities, two water quality, and one water right.
In addition, default orders were issued for the following categories: one industrial or hazardous waste, one irrigation licensing, one petroleum storage tank, two public water system, and one water quality.
There was one petroleum storage tank shutdown order.
