Victoria waste transporter pleads guilty to unauthorized discharge of waste

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today announced that a Victoria waste transportation company pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorized discharge and paid a $150,000 fine.

Oil Patch Water & Sewer Services, LLC, which provides septic hauling services for oil and gas drilling sites, admitted to discharging wastewater into a pond without a permit, a felony violation of Texas Water Code, Section 7.145. The unauthorized discharged occurred on March 3, 2010, in Hill County, Texas.

The case was prosecuted by the Travis County District Attorney’s office, in cooperation with the Texas Environmental Enforcement Task Force.
