TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $436,234

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $402,642 against 32 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
 
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: Two air quality, one industrial or hazardous waste, one industrial waste discharge, one multimedia, two municipal solid waste, two municipal waste discharge, 15 petroleum storage tank, two public water system, and one water quality.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: One irrigation licensing, two municipal solid waste, one municipal solid waste discharge, and one petroleum storage tank.

On Aug. 16, the Executive Director approved eight agreed orders, each $7,500 or less, totaling $33,592.
