401 Certification Rules and Information
The TCEQ conducts Section 401 certification reviews of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Section 404 permit applications for the discharge of dredged or fill material into waters of the U.S., including wetlands.

TCEQ is responsible for conducting 401 certification reviews of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 404 permits. Coordination procedures for 401 certifications in Texas are described in a Memorandum of Agreement
