March 20, 2008: EPA Letter Regarding Flexible Permit Rules

Notice of letter received from the United States Environmental Protection Agency regarding rules for Flexible Permit program.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has not approved the previously submitted flexible permitting rules as a revision to the Texas State Implementation Plan (SIP). On March 12, 2008, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality received a letter from the EPA (PDF file. Help with PDF.) outlining concerns about the Texas flexible permitting rules. The letter lists rule amendments that would be needed for the required SIP approval.
