Advisory Group for UIC Class I Nonhazardous Rules for Water Treatment Residuals
This voluntary advisory group was created to provide advice, recommendations, input and suggestions from interested persons to TCEQ staff regarding implementing legislation and amending rules pertinent to the use of UIC Class I injection wells to dispose of nonhazardous desalination concentrate and nonhazardous drinking water treatment residuals.
Participating in this Advisory Group
In order to obtain advice, recommendations and suggestions from affected or interested persons, this advisory group was formed to solicit comments on proposed changes to the UIC rules. This group will address rule changes that will be proposed for two purposes: (1) implementation of applicable statutory changes from the 80th legislative session (House Bill 2654); and (2) revised technical standards for the special case of Class I wells injecting nonhazardous desalination concentrate and other nonhazardous water treatment residuals from public water systems. A list of the prospective members of this advisory group is available in PDF. (Help with .PDF.)
