- Texas Water Development Board (TWDB)—This drought information page is updated on a daily basis Drought Information Summary.
- Drought Preparedness Council (DPC), of which TCEQ is a member, prepares a monthly Drought Situation Report for the Governor. View the report at their site.
- United States Geological Survey (USGS) in Texas—This site includes water quality and quantity information.
- National Drought Mitigation Center Homepage—Helpful plans for what to do when the threat of drought becomes reality.
- Texas Water Resources Institute—Information from Texas A&M University regarding drought impacts on agriculture and rural communities, as well as some urban issues.
- US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Office of Water—Information detailing how improving and protecting water quality can increase the available water quantity.
