The next meeting of the Brazos River and Associated Bay and Estuary System Basin and Bay Stakeholder Committee (BBASC) will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, May 30-31, 2012 at the Brazos River Authority office located at 4600 Cobbs Drive in Waco, Texas. The first day of the meeting will begin at 10:00 am, and the second day’s meeting will begin at 8:00 am. The meeting agenda can be viewed here.
Environmental Flow Recommendations
The Environmental Flow Regime Recommendations Report from the Brazos River Basin and Bay Expert Science Team (BBEST) was submitted on March 1, 2012. The final report and appendices can be viewed through the following links.
Basin and Bay Area Stakeholder Committee (BBASC)
The Texas Water Code requires the creation of several Basin and Bay Area Stakeholder Committees for specific river basin and bay systems listed in the Texas Water Code §11.23620
. (map: geographical extent of priority basins).
These Committees have specific tasks to perform to assist with the work of the Environmental Flows Advisory Group. One of the tasks the Committees are to perform is to establish a Basin and Bay Expert Science Team. Each Basin and Bay Expert Science Team will develop an environmental flow analyses and a recommended environmental flow regime for their specific river basin and bay system.
