Are there areas in your communities that could become thriving commercial or industrial parks or unique mixed-use developments? Where might funding come from to turn these sites into vital contributions to your community? Are you concerned that the sites may be contaminated or are the buildings just obsolete?
On August 7, Kansas State University, the Austin Resource Recovery, the City of Austin, and the TCEQ's Texas Brownfields Program present this free workshop to help communities learn about Brownfields properties and how to fund successful redevelopments. Lunch will be provided!
Who Should Attend? Local government, economic development staff, community grant writers, community groups, real estate developers, commercial real estate brokers, lenders, regional economic development agencies, consultants, and others interested in financial resources for local redevelopment.
To register, please send an email with the LOCATION and DATE of the workshop(s) of interest. For each person attending include the name, email and affiliation contact information (title, phone, mailing address) to email@example.com. Subject line: Austin Brownfields Workshop.
