An Asphalt Cap Now Covers The Secured And Cleaned Site
The large, blue hazardous waste tank was cut up and removed. The asphalt cap prevents rain from flooding the contamination plume around the slurry wall. The lone, vertical storage tank has a few gallons of fluid that serve as ballast to keep the tank from being blown over. The underground contamination recovery system is regularly emptied by vacuum truck.
