1975 Aerial Photograph Of International Creosoting Site
In this aerial photograph supplied by the Texas Department of Transportation, the major highway at the right is I-10. Pine Street loops across the top. The light area in the lower center is the Beaumont city landfill. Across the bayou from the landfill is the 14.7-acre International Creosoting site. By 1975, work was already under way to get rid of some of the creosote-settling pits.
