Decontamination Area
Equipment and large pieces of site debris had to be washed (decontaminated) before it was taken off site for safe disposal. The extra precautions avoided spreading contaminated dust particles in the neighborhoods along the route. All wash liquid also was recovered for treatment and off-site disposal at an approved site.
