Cement Was Used To Stabilize The Replacement Soil
The silo at the right side of the photo contains cement, which was mixed with the stockpiled dirt to bond the contamination. The mixture was then spread over the excavation and compacted. The bonding and compaction will prevent runoff from carrying contaminants as was the case before this remedial action.
