This Meeting is Open to the Public
The stakeholder group meeting will provide a brief overview of proposed rule changes required by House Bill (HB) 240, 82nd Legislature, (2011).
HB 240 requires On-Site Sewage Facility (OSSF) systems, including risers and covers, installed after September 1, 2012, to be designed to prevent access by anyone other than the system's owner and licensed OSSF installers or maintenance providers.
Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in open discussion. Specifically, attendees are asked to provide information about the:
1. Evaluation of the efficiency of the existing National Sanitation Foundation International (NSF) criteria intended to prevent unintended access to the risers and covers of on-site sewage disposal systems;
2. Need for additional or alternative criteria; and
3. Costs of any proposed criteria.
