How Chemicals are Selected

Chemicals are selected for one or more of the following reasons:

    • they have been detected in air monitoring
    • permits are frequently issued for them
    • the public has expressed concerns about them

The Toxicology Division Is Requesting Toxicity Information

New InformationThe Toxicology Division is requesting toxicity information for Ethylene Oxide – CAS 75-21-8. If you have toxicity data that you would like to be considered in developing the DSD for this chemical, please submit it by e-mail to tox@tceq.texas.gov or by mail (must be received at the TCEQ no later than 11/17/17) to:
