Hillcrest Community Environmental Investigation (HCEI), Phase II

Phase II of the HCEI, attempts to determine whether there are environmental impacts from volatile organic compounds to soil, groundwater, or ambient air in the Hillcrest community and adjacent areas of Corpus Christi.

About HCEI Phase II

The HCEI is currently in Phase II. Phase II will include sampling and analyses of sub-surface soil and groundwater. Phase I screening data will be used to select permanent monitor well locations in conjunction with existing groundwater gradient and subsurface contamination data.

Field Sampling Plan

The Field Sampling Plan for the upcoming Phase II of the HCEI has been drafted and includes the TCEQ’s proposal to the community for the scope of work in Phase II, including the proposed permanent monitoring-well locations.
