Stakeholder Workgroup of the Texas Clean Rivers Program

The Stakeholder Workgroup provides input from a diverse group of citizens on the focus, goals, rules, and priorities of the surface water quality programs of the TCEQ. Meetings of the Workgroup are open to everyone.

Structure and Membership

The Stakeholder Workgroup meets to ensure the Texas Clean Rivers Program is functioning in a manner that considers the needs of all stakeholders. The group also works with the TCEQ to set priorities for managing water quality, and restoring it where one or more uses are impaired.

Representatives from government, industry, business, agriculture, and environmental interest groups participate. Decisions are made using a consensus-based approach.
