Quality Assurance Project Plans for Nonpoint Source Projects

Shell and sample documents, forms, and guidelines for preparing Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs)

Requirements

A QAPP is required for all collection of environmental data funded by this program. Environmental data includes any measurements or information that describe environmental processes, location, conditions, ecological consequences, or health effects.

No grantee may begin data collection, analysis, or other work covered by this requirement before receipt of a QAPP authorizing the work, signed by TCEQ, and if necessary, the EPA.

Please refer to our QAPP Requirements before planning an NPS project or initiating work on a project.

Shell Documents

The shells below provide both instructions and templates for developing QAPPs under the grant program. They apply primarily to water quality monitoring and modeling projects.

For information about QAPPs for acquired (secondary) data, geospatial data, or other kinds of environmental data collection, call 512-239-6682 or send an e-mail to nps@tceq.texas.gov.
