Nolan Creek Assessment of Water Quality and Watershed Based Planning
A project to collect and analyze water quality data for Nolan Creek, to be used in restoring the recreational use of the creek.
Background
Portions of Nolan Creek and Little Nolan Creek have elevated bacteria concentrations, which impairs their use for swimming and other recreation. The state has also identified concerns about elevated nitrate, total phosphorus, and orthophosphorus concentrations.
Project Description
The Texas Institute for Applied Environmental Research and its project partners will collect and analyze water quality data in Nolan Creek and tributaries. The information will be used to determine what restoration actions, if any, should be pursued.
