Upper Cibolo Creek and Cow Creek Groundwater Conservation District: Education Initiative

A project to produce an Aquifer/Watershed Owner's Manual and educational videos on stewardship practices including low impact development.

Background

Expected growth in the greater San Antonio area, including the Upper Cibolo Creek watershed and the Cow Creek Groundwater Conservation District, presents a high potential for increasing nonpoint sources of bacteria, sediment, and nutrient pollution.

Project Description

This project will produce a manual, several videos, and other educational materials on low impact development and other stewardship practices that can help minimize the impact of development on area creeks and groundwater resources. Project staff will present and distribute these through workshops, presentations, and websites.
