TCEQ is hosting a virtual (online) public information meeting for Cameron, El Paso, Hidalgo, Kleberg, and Webb Counties. The purpose of this public outreach meeting is to provide information on the potential impacts of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) new primary annual fine particulate matter (PM2.5) National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) of 9 micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m3).
Cameron, El Paso, Hidalgo, Kleberg, and Webb Counties are potentially affected by the PM2.5 NAAQS revision. TCEQ will provide information on the PM2.5 NAAQS revision, designations process, and requirements for an area designated nonattainment. This meeting will focus on implementation of the revised NAAQS and not on the health effects associated with the NAAQS revision. Spanish language interpretation services will be made available during the presentations.
Please click here to register for the meeting. Information on the PM2.5 NAAQS is available on the EPA’s website.
