The rules review is in accordance with Texas Government Code, Section 2001.039;

clerical changes for Texas Register formatting requirements, correct cross-references,
provide clarifying language, and increase compatibility with the Code of Federal
Regulations. The adopted amendments will also add data gathering requirements for
salt cavern waste disposal wells; and clarify existing agency policy relating to
construction requirements for new and existing Class III injection wells, baseline
wells, and monitor wells to prevent contamination of groundwater from wells not
being cemented to the surface or from uncapped wells in areas where there is the
potential for contamination of groundwater. Proposed Chapter 331 was published in
