Free Workshop on Developing a Nitrification Action Plan - Fort Worth

The TCEQ is offering FREE workshops for public water systems that use chloramines for disinfection. The goal of the training is to educate PWS operators on the process of chloramination, the collection of data for specific analytes, and how to create a compliant NAP.

Licensed water operators can receive up to four (4) hours of Continuing Education Units for attending.

Topics covered during the workshop include:

  • Basics of chloramination
  • Appropriate chemical injection and sample points for chlorine and ammonia
  • Nitrification in a water distribution system
  • Data interpretation for nitrification determination
  • NAP Chloramine-Effectiveness Sample Suite (i.e. NAP matrix)
