Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation General Permit TXG920000 Renewal Comment Period and Public Meeting

Feb. 2019 - The Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) General Permit No. TXG920000 is scheduled for renewal in July 2019.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is proposing to renew and amend the Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) General Permit No. TXG920000.

The public will have the opportunity to comment on the draft permit during the public comment period of Feb. 22, 2019, through March 25, 2019. During that time, written comments may be submitted to the Office of the Chief Clerk, MC 105, TCEQ, PO Box 13087, Austin, TX 78711-3087, or you may comment on a pending permit application electronically.

Comments must be received on or before March 25, 2019.

The draft permit and factsheet will be available on Feb. 22, 2019, at TCEQ Regional Offices and on the TCEQ’s available water quality general permits webpage.

A public meeting will be held at 1 p.m. on March 25, 2019, at the TCEQ, 12100 Park 35 Circle, Building F, Room 2210, Austin, Texas 78753.

PLEASE NOTE: Permittees with current (active) authorizations should not attempt to renew their authorization before the renewed general permit has been issued and made effective on July 20, 2019. Permittees with current authorizations will have 180 days to renew their authorizations after the July 20, 2019 effective date.
