Free EPA-Sponsored Webinars for Small Public Water Systems
May 2021 – The Texas Rural Water Association (TRWA) is hosting FREE 2-hour virtual workshops for public water systems serving populations of 10,000 or less.
The EPA provided funding for TRWA to conduct free 2-hour virtual workshops for small public water systems. Workshop topics include America’s Water Infrastructure Act and EPA’s PWS Board and Operator Training.
Space is limited to 25 attendees per session, so water systems serving populations greater than 10,000 should not register.

Workshop Topics & Dates
America’s Water Infrastructure Act
May 18, 19, 25, 26, 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. CST
This session covers the new and revised requirements, including those from the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act (or Bioterrorism Act).
2021 EPA PWS Board and Operator Training
May 18, 19, 25, 26, 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CST
This session for board members, council members, and public water system operators covers state-specific priority topics, including:
- National Primary Drinking Water Regulations (NPDWR).
- Critical compliance and source water protection issues.
Licensed water operators can receive 2 continuing education units for each workshop topic.
