TCEQ Seeks Stakeholder Input on the Renewal of the Stormwater Construction General Permit (CGP) TXR150000

May 2026—TCEQ is holding a stakeholder meeting in-person and online on June 9, 2026, to discuss the upcoming renewal of the statewide CGP in 2028. This five-year general permit (TXR150000) authorizes the discharge of stormwater from construction activities and expires on March 5, 2028.

Attend In-Person or Online

Attend the stakeholder meeting to learn about the upcoming 2028 CGP renewal and provide comments. You may attend the meeting at the TCEQ Headquarters:

  • Date: June 9, 2026
  • Time: 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Location: TCEQ Austin Campus
                    Building F, Floor 2, Room 2210

                    Austin, Texas 78753 

If you are unable to attend in person, the meeting will also be available online via Microsoft Teams:

  • If you will be joining virtually, email us at Outreach@tceq.texas.gov, including your name and the organization you represent. We would like to acknowledge our online viewers during our opening introductions.
  • Join the virtual meeting at least 15 minutes before the start time.

How to Submit Comments

During this preliminary drafting stage, you can submit comments on the CGP by emailing SWGP@tceq.texas.gov with a subject line of "2028 CGP Renewal." We will review all comments but will not formally respond.

Please submit any comments by June 23, 2026.
