Surface Water Quality Viewer

Use this viewer to look up uses, standards, and information on water-quality assessments for bodies of surface water in Texas.

The Surface Water Quality Viewer is designed to provide access to the TCEQ Stream Segments/Water Bodies and Surface Water Quality Monitoring (SWQM) Stations using an interactive mapping interface.

The viewer displays information developed for the state’s assessments of surface-water quality for the State of Texas as listed in Title 30, Chapter 307 of the Texas Administrative Code (TAC), also known as the Surface Water Quality Standards. You can search navigating within a map viewer interface, by the name of a water body, or by its segment number.

It allows users to perform multiple functions, such as 1) Search by address, intersection, lat/long, or point of interest; 2) Display additional tabular information for each segment, water body, or SWQM station; 3) Measure length and area; and 4) view the data over a number of different basemaps.
