How to Complete Your Job Application
State of Texas Employment Application
Submit a separate employment application for each job announcement. You should submit your application to TCEQ Human Resources by 5 p.m. on the close date stated on the job announcement.
Address all questions. Please note, if you do not address the question relating to a conviction/deferred adjudication of a felony or do not provide an explanation, we will consider your application incomplete.
Complete the "Summary of Experience" section for all previous employers. We accept resumes as supplementary information.
We screen each employment application to determine whether a candidate meets the minimum qualifications that are stated in the job announcement. We then select candidates to interview from the resulting group of qualified applicants. Candidates that we interview will be notified of final selection and/or non-selection.
Transcripts
If you apply for positions for which the minimum qualifications require specific coursework, include a clear photocopy of your official college transcript(s) with your employment application. If we are unable to verify the required coursework and number of hours, we cannot give you credit for them.
Foreign Credentials
Include an evaluation of your coursework if you have obtained a degree(s) from a school outside of the United States; otherwise we cannot give you credit for your degree.
